Of course, loshon horah is forbidden. We know it was the prime cause of the destruction of the Bais HaMikdash, and we know that we aren’t supposed to speak it – yet we do. So why the disconnect? A big part of the reason is that we don’t really see it as wrong. We don’t see the damage it causes, and we certainly don’t see that the simple act of speaking can cost us in the future.
