Parsha in Depth Noach

The downward spiral of mankind began with the rise of avodah zarah, but like Adam and Chava’s sin, it was more of a mistaken spiritual reckoning than a desire to deny HASHEM. Nevertheless, in the generations between Adam and Noach, humanity went so far downhill that the world itself screamed out for justice.

The question is: if HASHEM had already decided to save Noach and his family from the flood, why trouble him to build the taiva? The answer is that it was an act of tremendous mercy. It gave the corrupt people of the generation a chance to ask questions and do teshuva.

From scientific issues, like the diversity of species after the flood, to spiritual issues like, “What does it mean to believe yet not believe?,” this Shiur is an intellectual look at Noach with lessons for everyone on how to live our lives.
